WELCOME, PARENTS & FAMILIES

Your child has a story.
Help them share it.

Find out how the classroom project works, ask about optional family books, or start a creative writing activity at home.

THE CLASSROOM PROJECT

A shared book.
A place for every author.

Students contribute to one collaborative classbook. Your classroom receives a free digital copy, and every contributor can join the celebration.

A family purchase is optional. Your child’s participation does not depend on buying a book.

OPTIONAL PRINTED FAMILY BOOKS

A keepsake
you can choose.

The optional Published Author Package is $40 and includes a book, certificate, and sticker. Additional printed copies are $25 each.

Ask your teacher or YAU for confirmed project details, format, availability, delivery costs, and ordering instructions. This website’s family inquiry does not collect payment or place an order.

A HOME FOR BIG IDEAS

Create a story
together at home.

Start with a drawing, an idea, or a conversation. These free PDFs support a home activity; printing and publication are arranged separately.

ENCOURAGE THE AUTHOR, HOWEVER THEY CREATE

Listen to the idea.
Notice the effort.

Invite your child to tell you about their story through writing, drawing, AAC, dictation, or another familiar way of communicating. Ask what they want a reader to know.

A small, encouraging moment can make room for the next idea. Let your child choose what they want to share.
